Security agreements to lend or borrow money safely
Security agreements protect the lender and give certainty to the borrower. We structure loans between individuals, companies and institutions secured by a mortgage, a pledge or a security trust, depending on the asset and the amount.
When does each guarantee make sense?
- Mortgage: when the collateral is real estate recorded in the Public Registry.
- Pledge: when movable assets, machinery or inventory secure the loan.
- Security trust: when a faster enforcement is needed in case of default.
Acknowledgment of debt
If a debt already exists, we document it with an acknowledgment of debt secured by a mortgage so it is fully enforceable.
